Local team Abusement Park won the Co-Ed E Tournament Division crown at the Slo-Pitch Ontario Provincial Championships in London this past weekend. Abusement Park won the title in dramatic fashion.

Local team Abusement Park won the Co-Ed E Tournament Division crown at the Slo-Pitch Ontario Provincial Championships in London this past weekend.

Abusement Park won the title in dramatic fashion.

In the preliminary round, the local squad captured a 16-4 mercy rule win followed by victories of 11-7 and 6-4 to earn a spot in the semi-finals.

A 14-6 semi-final victory on Sunday morning placed Abusement Park in the championship game that afternoon against the team they beat 6-4 earlier.

After two innings, Abusement Park found themselves with an 8-1 lead. By they time they scored again in the sixth inning, it was to pull into a 9-9 tie. After falling behind 10-9 in the top of the seventh inning, the locals scored two runs with two outs in the bottom half of the inning to walk off with an 11-10 win.

Memebers of the team included Tiffany Bagnall, David Balgue, Marisa Balgue, Bo Boisseneau, Danielle Cada, Joe Camilleri, Amaya Gabcan, Larry Johnston, Sarah Miller, Ryan Saghafi, Joanna Souliere and Gus Stocco.
